If you with to start your trip from Hanoi, should leave in the morning, the ride is 4 hours to get to the starting point in Ha Giang city. You can stop on the way for a break and breakfast if you wish.

By noon, you will reach Ha Giang city where you have your lunch and another break before heading further north on the 4C highway. Soon, you can dive into a limestone mountain range covered with lush green jungle, followed by the Dong Van karst Plateau – a UNESCO Global Geopark.

And of course, this afternoon you cannot miss the Heaven’s Gate Pass where you will get your first taste of exhilarating views along with challenging and tight curves. Cruising down from Heaven’s Gate Pass, you should arrive at jutting, forested hills Tam Son and then Quan Ba Twin Mountain (also known as Fairy Mountains) – the special art with mountains blending perfectly with rice terraces forming likening two breasts of fairy narrated by locals. 

Yen Minh is your next destination where the road leads to the beautiful Mien River and a climb through a tall canyon, karst plateaus and mountain passes. You should stay in Yen Minh for the night.
