Enter a password and the text, then press Encode. To decrypt, paste the ciphertext and press Decode.

Which AES mode is used?

AES-256 in GCM mode, with a random 16-byte salt and 12-byte IV stored with the ciphertext.

Can I recover a forgotten password?

No. The key is derived from your password and never stored, so a lost password means the data cannot be decrypted.
